Chris Whelan joined the firm in 1999 and has been a partner since 2006. Mr. Whelan received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia in 1988 and his law degree from George Mason University School of Law in 1991. He then served four years with the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps and worked as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Fauquier County, Virginia until 1999. Mr. Whelan has tried numerous civil and criminal jury trials and now specializes in civil litigation, including commercial, real estate and personal injury cases. He also continues to represent clients in criminal defense cases where his experience as a prosecutor proves invaluable. He is a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and served as President of the Fauquier County Bar Association in 2004. His incredible sense of justice keeps him searching for the truth, which keeps the Law Firm where it needs to be in a complicated new world.
