John P. Pennington
John Pennington joined the firm in August 2011. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2006 from the University of Virginia, and his law degree from the George Washington University in 2011. John was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in October, 2011. Prior to joining Howard, Morrison, Ross and Whelan, Mr. Pennington worked as a student associate for Murphy and King, P.C. Despite just beginning the practice of law, his early successes have already earned him an invitation to membership in The National Trial Lawyers Association: Top 40 under 40. The Top 40 under 40 is restricted to only 40 attorneys per state per year and each attorney must be under the age of 40 as of January 1, 2012. As one of only 40 lawyers selected for membership in the entire Commonwealth of Virginia, John continues the tradition of excellence at Howard, Morrison, Ross and Whelan. He practices in the areas of criminal law, business law, real estate law, wills, trusts, and estates, and civil litigation, including personal injury. John is a rising star in Virginia law and jurisprudence.
